“For 2 years I had the pleasure of sharing my time with Jacob at Ahead/Valtech. For a period I referenced to Jacob, and got to experience both his leadership skills and his talents as a designer and creative mentor.
First things first, as a leader Jacob was a constant inspiration, and kept on asking the right questions to provoke me and to take my creative thoughts to new levels. He was a true leader, stepped up and took the necessary responsibilities when pressure was on.
As a creative person I have always seen Jacob as one of the people who, here in Denmark, DEFINED the very characteristic scandinavian design that appeared on a big part of the onlineproductions during the .Com-days. Especially his workings on, at that time, GUBI carried his trademarks of slickness, usability and lightness. Which, in my humble opinion still seems to be keywords in his productions.
